4 things you should never do with your credit cards

By Susan McCarthy, a financial adviser in Oklahoma City and author of The Value of Money, lists her top four credit card don'ts:

1. Don't make only the minimum payments. This stretches out your payment and, thanks to the interest, significantly increases your overall cost.

2. Don't carry too many cards. Multiple cards make it easier to rack up debt because it's harder to keep track of your spending. Having lots of cards isn't necessarily bad for your credit, but misusing them is. So limit your plastic to two national cards (store cards often carry higher interest rates) that you manage carefully.

3. Don't miss payment due dates. Not only will you be hit with a late fee-as high as $39 on some cards-but your interest rate could also jump. Sign up for online banking or pay over the phone if you're up against the deadline. (You may pay a processing fee, but it will probably be less than the late fee and the possible interest-rate hike.)

4. Don't take cash advances. These advances generally come with sky-high interest rates and service fees, making them a far too expensive way to get cash. Avoid at all costs.

Baby Room Furniture, What You Must Have?

By Yenie Swandari

Generally before baby comes home these are the things your nursery or baby room should be equipped with, to make you and the baby comfortable and make your task easier to caring for the new bundle of joy.

Baby stores are full of "goods" all adorable, cute and charming as can be, like Modern baby furniture, The Transformer bedding, baby jumper, Disney character high chair, toys, and accessories, all of these items are tempting but it is easy to forget what is really required. Here are some furniture that really necessary to buy;

For sleeping. There are several options to choose baby bed such as a cradle, a bassinet a crib, or a convertible crib. The best solution is a convertible crib although it’s a little more expensive to start with. And if your baby gets older it takes only some additional tools to convert the crib to a toddler bed.

You will need some fitted sheets to cover the mattress and some baby blankets. You have to keep the baby's bedding clean and make baby comfortable.

A changing table use to put everything you need for changing or cleaning baby right at hand, convenient and will help spare your back. Some changing table even has a little integrated bathtub, which can be tucked away when not needed or be changed into a toy shelf. But if you don’t have space to place a changing table in the baby’s room, you can change the babies on the bed.

A dresser is useful for put away all of baby’s clothes. The dressers are available in all style and price. But you could repaint the old dresser.

A toy chest. In choosing a toy chest the only concern is to ensure that it is fitted with a closing system that is safe for little fingers.

Blankets and Quilts. Quilts, throws and blankets can come in all sizes and styles including pink for baby girls, blue for baby boys, and other colors if you not know the sex of the child yet. You can order blankets and quilts to be personalized with anything such as baby’s name, baby’s last name and birth date or special and beautiful quotes.

Bibs. They can also be personalized not just with a baby’s name, but also with pictures, a cute saying, and anything else you can imagine.

Frames. A personalized frame is a perfect gift for both the baby and their parents. There are many variety of the picture frames available can be personalized with names, dates, and other information about the baby. They can remain a picture frame specifically holding a picture from the baby’s first days in this world or as the baby grows older, they can switch out the pictures in order to keep them current.

Baby Name Bracelet. You can create not only a personal and memorable gift, but a rather beautiful one at that.

Keepsakes. Another personalized gift that also work well as baby gifts are clothing that is personalized with the baby’s name, Photo albums that have personalized covers or wood blocks that are carved with personal touches.

To get the perfect personalized gift, make sure you follow these tips:

  • Check with parents for the correct spelling of the baby’s name.
  • Never assume the birth date or don’t include a date at all.
  • Supplement the personalized keepsakes with practical gifts, like some clothing or a gift certificate to a local baby store.

WiFi BlackBerry Storm 2 coming in September 2009

Looks like your Storm 2 wishlist just got an item slashed off. SlashGear has a source that they are pretty confident in, who says that the successor to BlackBerry's touch screen smartphone will add WiFi support for faster web browsing. It's one of the smartphone's biggest critcisms.

The Source also dropped some hints that there are other surprises on horizon but there are no specifics. Look for a release sometime in September 2009 on Verizon.

Review :
It lightweight, easy to use. This is my first mobile computer or netbook. I am very happy with this powerful little computer. I took it to work and now a co-worker is ordering one after I demonstrated it.
I have read some of the reviews on here that are so negative, but the good reviews outweigh them and a lot of us are happy with computer. The price is great with the economy the way it is now. I have a great desktop Dell computer, but this little one helps me keep connected when I am away from home just fine.

Steve Jobs review on e-bay :

I love this iPhone. It is sleek, elegant, sophisticated, and is sought after worldwide! As an avid Apple user, you will get exactly what you expect: A handy portable MAC that is not susceptible to viruses and is efficient and easy to operate, it's a phone that has all the features of most smart phones, but is a long step ahead of its competition. It supports Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, delivering push email, calendar, and contacts. It gives mobile users secure access to corporate resources with Cisco IPSec VPN and wireless network services with WPA2 Enterprise and 802.1X authentication.
The rich HTML format of its email will make you think you're on a full-fledged computer!
There are thousands of apps you can put on this handy little device. Anyone in any industry will have options that will relate to you work. Why, you may even be able to take this phone as a tax write-off (seek the guidance of your tax counselor).
It's a GPS. It's a calendar. It's a communicator. It's a walking, talking business device that will keep you ahead of the game.
And lets not forget.....it's an iPod!

Two things I don't like about the iPhone: You have no access to the battery, which obviously means you have to take it in for servicing to have the battery changed.
But most of all: It's locked in to a service provider that I'm not real fond of. And even though there is a software unlocking proceedure, thanks to the incredible work of the DevTeam, and sim card devices, the fact remains Steve Jobs locked a good portion of his followers out by marketing it to but one sole carrier.
Okay....three thngs! It is slippery! EASY to drop if you're not careful. It's a shame to hide its beauty under a cover, but with such an expensive device, it is recommended.
Cell phones come and go....but the iPhone is going to be a tough act to follow.
